MCP’s real question is not whether agents can call APIs

The argument for retiring MCP focuses on what capable terminal agents can do, but that does not answer how less privileged agents discover services, authenticate safely, and operate under organizational controls. Evidence supplied here supports the protocol’s design and ecosystem claims, not the conclusion that direct APIs or CLIs make MCP obsolete.

First Diplodocus Fossils Outside North America Discovered in Spain, Revealing Jurassic Land Bridges

Paleontologists from Spain's Fundación Dinópolis have identified the first confirmed fossils of the genus Diplodocus ever found outside North America. Unearthed at the La Tejería site near El Castellar in Teruel province, the 150-million-year-old remains — 14 tail vertebrae and several chevron bones — belong to an animal roughly 25 meters long, closely related to the North American Diplodocus hallorum. The discovery, slated for publication in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, provides strong evidence that dinosaurs dispersed between North America and Europe during the Late Jurassic via temporary land bridges that formed as the proto-North Atlantic Ocean periodically receded.
