GitHub announced that the new dashboard experience, previously available only as a feature preview, is now the default view for all users. The redesigned interface helps users focus on the work that matters most by grouping active agent sessions, issues, and pull requests in one place, with filters that allow up to twelve items to be displayed in each list. A separate Feed tab keeps updates distinct from the productivity-focused dashboard, ensuring that users can catch up on activity without cluttering their main view. Additionally, users can start work directly from the dashboard, such as assigning an issue to the Copilot coding agent or opening a pull request in Copilot Chat. For those who prefer the previous experience, GitHub notes that the old view can be restored at any time by clicking the dropdown next to the Preview option. The company invites feedback through its Community discussion page.
